EFI Australia and local distributor DES today announced that EFI’s Rastek H650 wide-format printer will be making its Australian debut at the VIIE in September.
The Rastek H650 from EFI is a UV hybrid flatbed printer that delivers best-in-class image quality at an affordable price. It is the perfect choice for production and print shop environments where quick service, superior image quality and smaller footprints are the keys to customer satisfaction and increasing profit.
According to Simon Trytell, EFI Australia’s inkjet SDM, versatility is a key feature of the Rastek H650. ‘It handles a wide range of flexible and rigid media quickly and easily with its breakthrough vacuum belt media transport system,’ says Trytell, ‘making it the ideal printer to produce display and exhibition graphics, indoor and outdoor signage, posters and Point-of-Purchase advertising.’
EFI says the four-colour plus white printer delivers exceptional image quality. The gray scale print heads produce photographic image quality, saturated colours and smooth colour gradations by utilizing seven size drops ranging from six picolitre drops for fine detail to 42 picolitre drops. The H650 can handle materials up to 165 cm wide and 4.5 cm thick, at resolutions of up to 1200 x 900 dpi at speeds of up to 21.3 sqm/hour.
Phillip Burns, grand format BDM for DES, says the range of substrates the H650 can handle is impressive. ‘This is the ideal printer for printshops looking to expand their range of services,’ says Burns, ‘because it can print on materials such as PVC, corrugated plastics, plywood, aluminium, acrylic and glass.
