The VIIE  will be co-located alongside PrintEx for the first time in 2011.

The focus of the Australasian printing, graphic communications and associated industries will be firmly on Sydney next May with PrintEx11 shaping up to be the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of its type ever held in Sydney.

More than 65% of space at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour has already been allocated to exhibitors covering all aspects of the industry. Exhibition organisers Reed Exhibitions expect a ‘full house’ in Halls 1-3 of the centre between 4-6 May, 2011.

“PrintEx11 comes at an important time for the industry with feedback from international exhibitions like IPEX suggesting that business owners are once again vitally interested in ideas, products and technology that will help them grow and develop their businesses,” says PrintEx11 Chairman, Mitch Mulligan.

Already, major names like CPI Group, Dainippon Screen, Epson Australia, Ferrostaal Australia, Fuji Xerox Australia and Fujifilm Australia, Aldus Engineering, Graph-Pak, Konica Minolta, Media Super, Müller Martini Australia, Oce Australia, Canon Australia and Ricoh have booked space, with other major names expected to come on board soon.

As well as these companies, a large number of smaller companies will also be displaying and demonstrating a range of products from prepress and printing equipment, to papers and substrates, MIS, software programs, copiers and mailing systems, ink, chemistry and business services.

“PrintEx is a vital exhibition as it is the ideal venue to view the latest technological advances in critical sectors like digital, wide-format and VDP, multi-faceted cross-media applications as well as digital front-ends and all important MIS and workflow management technology for the conventional print market,” says Mulligan.

“Advances in these areas are driving the industry into new and exciting areas which will make an important contribution to our industry’s ongoing survival and success, while new technology, together with many industry initiatives and environmental advances which will be on show, are critical to challenging perceptions about print’s relevance and sustainability.”

John Gorton, PrintEx11 Exhibition Director, says organisers Reed Exhibitions Australia are delighted with the response from suppliers across the industry.

“With 65% of space allocated nearly 10 months out from the exhibition, and such a diverse range of exhibitors already signed, we are expecting PrintEx11 to be one of the most exciting and comprehensive ever printing industry exhibitions in Australia,” Gorton says, “and we look forward to welcoming even more exhibitors in the coming weeks as we fill the remaining 35% of space.”
