Heytex, represented locally by Starleaton Digital, displayed its new laminated fabrics at the recent Ad & Sign Expo in Shanghai.

"Thanks to the establishment of a Chinese manufacturing plant, we can now offer these digital textiles at very reasonable price" said Starleaton's General Manager, Ben Eaton.

Brand new at Ad and Sign Expo China was the range of woven Heytex laminated banner. The woven laminate product family does not rely on glue or adhesives like most of the semi-coated materials. Avoiding these substances reduces environmental damage considerably.

Available in frontlit matt; backlit glossy and blockout matt, Heytex woven laminates offer the versatility of premium coated fabrics in that they possess the high-quality appearance of coated fabrics but combine non-curl properties with high material strength. “These material properties and the unique softness and smoothness make our laminates very different from ‘run-of-the-mill’ Chinese laminates”, explains Dr. Percy Lee, General Manager of the Heytex Zhangjiagang operation.

Heytex also announced improvements to its non-curl PVC laminated banner family. Heytex non-curl laminated banners have been developed to reduce and even eliminate the unwanted curl effect that most standard laminates show.

“Standard PVC laminated banner products normally curl at the edges after digital printing using solvent inks. Moreover, laminated PVC banners often display a curl as a result of staying in a rolled condition over a period of time, e.g. remaining in a rolled form during storage or shipping,” explained Ben Eaton.

Heytex also revealed an advanced version of its Blockout Matt which resembles even more a semi-coated blockout. With a super-smooth surface, the material gives advertising a balanced and prestigious look on both face and back while keeping costs to a minimum.
