PrintEx11 and VIIE Sydney trade exhibitions will co-locate next year in May.
The PrintEx11 Board and the Visual Industries Suppliers’ Association (VISA) today announced that PrintEx11 and VIIE Sydney trade exhibitions will co-locate next year, joining forces to present one of the most comprehensive shows this country has seen for the print, graphic communications and visual graphics industries in Australia.
Pictured at the signing of the co-location agreement are: (Standing, L-R): Peter Harper, General Manager, VISA; Marcus Adler, Secretary, VISA; Philip Andersen, CEO, Printing Industries; John Gorton, Group Exhibition Director, Reed Exhibitions; Chris Segaert, National Councillor, Printing Industries. PrintEx11 is Sydney’s premier print and graphic communications exhibition, presented by the Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA) and Printing Industries Association of Australia (Printing Industries), while VIIE, presented by VISA, is a must-see showcase for the visual graphics industries.
The exhibitions will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour from May 4-6 next year. PrintEx and VIIE will take up Halls 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the centre, covering a gross area of 17500 square metres. While branding and registration for the two shows will remain discrete, the exhibition space will be completely open, allowing visitors from each exhibition to visit the other with no barrier.
In a co-operative endeavour which organisers Reed Exhibitions describe as ‘greater than the sum of its parts’, PrintEx11 and VIIE will offer visitors an unparalleled opportunity to view a complete showcase of the latest technology, equipment, ideas and innovations designed to add value to businesses across the entire spectrum of the graphic and visual arts.
“We believe this will create an outstanding experience and ensure a valuable return on the time and resources invested by both exhibitors and visitors,” says PrintEx11 Chairman Mitch Mulligan.
“PrintEx11 is not just a showcase of print and graphic communications technology and equipment; it’s about new approaches, fresh directions, profitable development and diversification. We aim to offer visitors the broadest possible range of ideas and directions and we’re delighted to be co-operating with VISA, whose VIIE exhibition is a consistently strong showcase for the signage, display and digital print market.
“By combining our resources in an open environment, visitors will be able to see the latest advances and gather the best advice across the broad print and visual communications market.”
Peter Harper, VISA General Manager, agrees, saying there are ‘clearly’ many synergies between the two events.
“Both shows focus on demonstrating the latest technology and products, connecting buyers and suppliers, providing information on new developments and approaches and, importantly, networking,” Harper says.
“Quite apart from anything else, there is considerable overlap between our respective industries and markets which means there is enormous potential to share information, ideas and resources to the benefit of our members, other industry suppliers and their customers.
“We’re confident that this exciting new partnership will deliver significant additional benefits to VIIE and PrintEx exhibitors and visitors next May in Sydney”
