Xanita and the Bulgarian software company EngView Systems Corp. have entered into a collaboration that will give X-Board users the opportunity to create printed 3D structures with tailored design software.
By using EngView Package Designer, users will be able to optimise the process of creating a structural design, its 3-D modeling and preliminary proofing, prior to manufacturing. The software, a CAD/CAM system developed by EngView Systems, follows the entire process of drawing up a structural design, the generation of a plotter file, up to cutting the complete X-Board product.
The software comes with a library of templates for the most popular Xanita designs. Once a template has been selected, it is resized automatically after its material thickness and some basic parameters – for example, length, height and width —are set.
Georgi Marinov, EngView Systems’s executive director, said: “Our partnership with Xanita will open new horizons. This is the first time ever in which a comprehensive solution is being put forward that will enhance both the efficiency and quality of production.”
EngView Systems is a software company specialized in the development and distribution of CAD/CAM systems for the packaging industry. Based in Sofia, Bulgaria, the company has its own global network of distributors, as well as business representatives in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and in Montreal, Canada.
