Epson Australia has appointed the highly experienced Terry Crawford as National Business Development Manager - Sign & Display for its large format printer business.

terry_crawford.gifCraig Heckenberg, Business Unit Manager, Business Solutions Division, Epson Australia, said Terry’s background and contacts in the sign and display vertical markets will strengthen Epson’s development of this market, and follows on from the strong response from the sector to the Epson Stylus® Pro GS6000, launched last year.

Terry said the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 is a fantastic printer with superb Epson UltraChrome® GS solvent ink and dual eight-channel print heads that sets new standards for the outdoor sign and display market.

“The Epson Stylus Pro printers have long been synonymous with industry leading high quality output, and the GS6000 adds muscle to the range in a key market segment,” Terry said.

“Compared with other printers in this segment it is so easy to install and operate with the nickel-free UltraChrome GS ink containing fewer harmful VOC (volatile organic compounds) than other solvent based inks eliminating the need for expensive ventilation and air purification systems to protect the operators.

“I am looking forward to building strong relations with the Epson channel partners and helping our customers continue to grow and succeed in these very tight market conditions,” Terry said.

Terry has a 27-year history in the offset printing industry, including 12 years' experience in senior national and specialist sales management roles.  He has gained a reputation in high-value imaging equipment, CtP, workflow and colour management system sales environments catering to commercial, magazine and newspaper printers.

Before joining Epson, Crawford worked for Fujifilm Sericol, where he represented the wide-format, narrow web flexographics and screen printing division, and more recently with EFI representing VUTEk and Rastek Grand format inkjet printing solutions and Fiery Controllers.
