Epson is focussing on emerging business opportunities for professional photographers on its stand at PMA 2009.

Epson’s PMA theme is “Epson – the name behind print”, and Craig Heckenberg, Epson’s Business Solutions Manager, says as well as its strong heritage in high quality printing, Epson is also the name behind most professional photographers and graphic artists.

“We know these are tough times for professional photographers and graphic artists so Epson wants to do all it can to support its loyal customers.  Surveys tell us that 86% of Australian professional photographers use an Epson printer in their business, and our aim is to help them now with new business opportunities and special deals,” said Craig.

“Epson’s Discproducer, which will be demonstrated at PMA, provides marketing, new business, and cost savings opportunities for professional photographers.”

Discproducer is an accurate and fast CD and DVD publisher combining Epson’s market leading expertise in advanced inkjet printing, precision imaging and robotics to deliver high quality duplicate discs with personally designed full colour printed labels.

“Professionals who want the best quality marketing materials on CD or DVD will get cost savings with Discproducer; studios that sell videos and image portfolios as part of their service can bring their disc production in-house and increase their sales opportunities at the same time,” said Craig.

As an Australian first for disc publishers in this price range Epson is offering onsite warranty service for the Discproducer within capital cities.

“Discproducer is backed by Epson’s global reputation for reliable and dependable products, and locally supported by Epson’s Business Systems team, so customers know they are getting the best disc publishing system and support available,” Craig said.

Epson’s PMA exhibition special deal to stimulate business for professional photographers and contribute to their bottom line is a cash back offer on every Epson Stylus Pro 7900 or Epson Stylus Pro 9900 printer purchased from Epson Australia or any Australian Epson reseller before 30 June.

“Professional photographers need every competitive advantage they can get to grow and sustain business now, and the Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 deliver reduced printing costs and increase the impact and saleability of prints,” said Craig.

The Epson Stylus Pro 7900 (24 inch) and Stylus Pro 9900 (44 inch) are ten colour printers equipped with revolutionary pigment ink technology - Epson UltraChrome HDR (High Dynamic Range) ink. This ink set incorporates orange and green to considerably expand the colour gamut and increase digital printing opportunities.

Purchasers will receive $1000 cash back on an Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and $2000 on an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 with online redemption by 7 July 2009.

Epson is also supporting the PMA Show by printing for display some of the stunning astronomical images made by the world-renowned Australian photographic scientist-astronomer David Malin.  These prints will be a feature of the giant display of prize-winning photographs called Pictures at the Exhibition, Australia's largest annual exhibition of photography and the largest regularly held in the Southern Hemisphere in conjunction with PMA, with more than 1200 images on 350 linear metres of display space.
