3M have launched their Controltac Graphic Film with Comply v3 Adhesive IJ380Cv3 designed for vehicles with deep channels.

"This niche product in our range has eventuated from a specific market need, which is perfect for challenging applications especially with irregular shaped surfaces", said Elon Goldbery, Senior Product Manager at 3M.

3m_2.gifIJ380Cv3 is a 2mil film with slideable, repositionable, pressure-activated adhesive and non-visible air release channels for fast and easy, bubble-free installations. This long-term durable and removable cast film offers new technology that has superior conformability and lifting resistance, making it perfect for vehicle wraps with deep channels or concave areas.

"The combination of the film and overlaminate presents a great combination for the ultimate result. Now the most difficult 3D areas, seen most widely on vans, can be a great opportunity for professional high output graphic applications"  said Elon Goldbery.

3M say that more than 5 years of research and development went into this 3D-conformable printable film solution. The result is a graphic film and overlaminate that master the most irregular shapes on vehicle bodies with more ease than any product ever before. The secret to this intelligent design? Both the film IJ380Cv3 and matching Overlaminate 8580 "remember" the new shape they are given once applied. After application there is no stress left in the film.

IJ380Cv3 printable film solution removes the need to cut the film to relieve stress. This doesn't only save you time, you also avoid risky cuts that can damage the paint on the vehicle body and cost hundreds of dollars to repair.
