Alucobond Architectural has announced the launch of timberAL, a new range of colour finishes that combine the natural splendour of wood with the strength of Alucobond aluminum composite panels.

timberAL comes in five realistic wood colours, which radiate the aesthetic beauty of wood, without the discolouration and decay that real wood inevitably endures.

The use of a high quality paint system applied in a continuous coil-coating process ensures that the wood look is not compromised for decades to come.

“timberAL offers the same unequaled material properties for which all Alucobond products are known. This means superb wood look cladding with extraordinary flatness and rigidity, exceptional formability, low weight and superior weather resistance,” said Bruce Rayment, CEO, Alucobond Architectural.

Designed to enhance a wide variety of building projects, Wood Design is an ideal cladding material for both exterior and interior architecture.

“The timbarAL surfaces are easy to clean and care for, unlike real wood or HPL panels, and as Alucobond is fully recyclable, it is also a natural choice for projects that require environmentally friendly materials,” said Rayment.

Architects, builders and designers can see the full range of timberAL colours, including Dark Zebrano, Redwood, Royal Cedar, Elegant Oak and Manitoba, at designEX 2009 at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, 30 April to 2 May.

Alucobond Architectural is exhibiting alongside Halifax Vogel Group Building Products, Octanorm Australia and SmartStone at stand 1912 and 2005.
