Sawgrass Technologies will launch at the ISA show a new, high-productivity sublimation ink, SubliM. The new ink includes a direct print option, best of class colour gamut, outstanding running ability at high speed and faster drying time.

“Bringing our Basel, Switzerland ink manufacturing facility on-line in 2006 has given us the ability to speed development of several new inks designed especially for our high-volume and high-speed graphics users,” said Nathan Hale, Sawgrass founder and CEO. “SubliM is but the first of several Sawgrass breakthrough digital inks that the graphics market will see us deliver during the upcoming months.”

At the Sawgrass booth at ISA two high-speed inkjet printers will be demonstrating the new SubliM inks in both direct print and transfer applications. The Sawgrass Sales Force for Industrial/Production Markets will lead the SubliM demonstrations. The team consists of Mark Trimble, David Dingee, and Ricardo Nava.

“This is an exciting ink and immediately allows our customers to move into higher productivity in their sublimation printing,” said Trimble. SubliM will appeal to printers already in high-volume environments, Dingee added, yet also will allow a new user to enter the sublimation market that had concerns about productivity.

The SubliM inks will be available in ten colours: yellow, orange, magenta, cyan, blue, black, deep black (20% stronger than black), light magenta, light cyan and a yellow for direct print applications. Trimble noted that ISA attendees coming to the Sawgrass booth will immediately notice the strong colour intensity and excellent colour gamut produced by SubliM.

Also being introduced at ISA is the Sawgrass Production Series Ink Delivery System for volume users of both the new SubliM ink and existing sublimation inks. “Sawgrass now has the most comprehensive range of sublimation ink solutions in the graphics market,” Dingee said. “For any customer, at any volume level, Sawgrass has the answer and is ready to deliver.”
