Advertising services company Adstream has announced a successful collaboration with APN News & Media subsidiary GSP Print to streamline production in the Out of Home media sector.

Out of Home advertising generates more than $300 million annually in Australia and has demonstrated the capacity for continuous growth over the past decade through inventory development and innovation.

GSP is a specialist large-format printer for the out-of-home advertising and point-of-sale sectors.

Adstream has customised its powerful Quickcut print validation and delivery platform and worked with GSP on a new streamlined workflow.

Advertising agencies can now work with the Quickcut software (which is already used extensively by the newspaper and magazine industries for advertisements) to prepare and validate any print execution destined for outdoor advertising media companies. Quickprint automatically performs over 290 technical checks and can correct technical errors on the fly.

Adstream Australia Managing Director Peter Miller said that the upside for the outdoor companies was reduced failure, reduced cost and tighter lead times.

“This solution is good for outdoor media owners, good for agencies and good for advertisers. It’s where we try to add value right through our broadcast and print portfolio of services. GSP is a client-focused business and leading the market. We are very excited to be working out of home at last.”

Peter Helft, General Manager of GSP said, “It has been a lot of hard work up front but advertising agencies and advertisers will profit from this initiative. It will ensure terrific quality first and every time. Once artwork has arrived at GSP it will be produced according to the ISO 12647 Australian colour target – delivering peace of mind that brand values will be properly reproduced on all our printing presses.”
