Agfa today announced that industry veteran Brett Turner has joined its growing inkjet division and will take on a Sydney based role as a Product Manager for wide format printing.

Agfa’s Business Manger for Inkjet Printing Steve Taylor said “Brett is a perfect fit for our growing business.

Turner who has had wide industry experience working for the likes of Collies, Collie Cooke, SICPA and more recently DIC where he focussed on both the screen and digital markets said, “This new chapter in my career will allow me to focus on the wide format digital market with Agfa Graphics where we recognise some very exciting opportunities with the Anapurna range of printers. The continued growth of the point of sale, indoor & outdoor display market offers us genuine and exciting challenges.”

Turner has wasted no time familiarising himself with the Agfa range training closely with another member of the Agfa inkjet team Rashed Chughtai who maintains technical responsibility for Agfa’s growing rang of inkjet engines.

Turner who will be based out of Agfa’s Sydney office will have national responsibilities will report to Steve Taylor who heads up Agfa’s growing inkjet team.

Both Taylor and Turner are actively involved in Agfa’s PacPrint planning for next year which will see Agfa dedicate a large area of its stand to the entire :Anapurna family of large format UV curable print engines.

“Recent success at the Visual Impact Image Expo show in Sydney has shown us that this market is driven heavily by shows, hence our decision to make PacPrint 09 our major inkjet event for 2009” said Taylor.
