Inca Digital has introduced the ColorGATE Productionserver5 RIP in Europe to provide Inca printer users with a choice of RIP solutions and enhanced colour management and workflow capabilities.

The Colorgate RIP solution provides a central workflow solution which is customised to drive a single or multiple Inca printers.  File management is optimised to allow simultaneous processing of multiple print jobs and output management across multiple Inca printers. Users can open, move and RIP several print jobs at the same time to achieve better efficiency.

Heather Kendle, Inca’s director of marketing says “With the introduction of Fujifilm Sericol’s Uvijet Ultratone inks and Inca’s 6 and 8 colour printers the ability to match difficult house and spot colours has increased.  The ColorGATE RIP processes files superbly and offers customers the option of more extensive colour management tools to specify color more precisely.  We wanted to offer Inca customers a RIP software alternative to suit different business and printing needs and now customers can choose which RIP they would prefer.”

Other features include: free definable scaling, job copies, job preview, automatic tiling and rotation of print jobs, plus cropping for the definition of image cut outs. Its JDF capability allows the RIP to integrate tightly within a company’s production environment and ‘communicate’ job production data directly from/to MIS and finishing systems if required.

“Among high-end digital large format print producers we see a trend towards matching colour standards such as FOGRA & ISO to accurately and consistently match colours in wide format graphics for corporate campaigns,” says Thomas Kirschner of ColorGATE. “The combination of Inca’s multicolour printers with ColorGATE´s RIP integrated profiling approach offer top end colour quality paired with an optimum of production performance.”

The Inca ColorGATE solution will make its European debut on Inca distributor stands at the autumn print exhibitions and will be available with new European machine orders from September 2008. It is compatible with all Inca Spyder, Turbo Plus and Onset UV flatbed printers.  Customers interested in integrating the ColorGATE RIP should contact Inca Digital for more details.
