The need to move out of its previous Eastern Creek premises might have taken Phil Trumble, Pozitive Sign & Graphic Supplies MD, a little bit by surprise, but the news from the company’s 19th March Open House is that he couldn’t be happier with the way things have worked out

"We now have a much larger footprint, which includes a huge warehouse at the rear of the property, as well as this great front-of-house demo area. And we’ve already received several really positive responses from our customers about the new Emu Plains location," says Phil. "If anything, we’re experiencing more drop-ins from customers in the surrounding areas."

Even the fact that the temperature outside was a 'cool' 32 degrees in the shade on the day of the Open House, visitors were met with a warm smile, knowing that the installation of a 56-kilowatt solar system would already be reaping carbon efficiency benefits.

Pozitive opening Trumble with Epson team(L to R) Phil Trumble with Epson's Ryan Warby & Shuhei Sato, and Pozitive's Nathan Putnam Inside the Open House, there was an excited buzz as the wide range of quality products Pozitive sells and installs were being put through their paces, while the company’s busy tech team helped customers understand the various full print-to-finish technology on display.

In addition to showing their exclusive agency swissQprint (high quality/resolution, wide format UV flatbed printing) and Summa products (precision cutting for signage, decals and packaging), there was the Valiani die-cutting and short-run finishing kit for packaging and display solutions. In a coup both for Pozitive and Epson Australia, the only brand new 11-colour Epson SureColor S9160 currently in Australia (ready for PacPrint '25) was also in full flight amongst other Epson kit, demonstrating the strong mutual respect in that supplier/dealer relationship.

Mutual respect was also the key takeaway from a quick discussion with Phil Trumble and Mutoh Australia MD Russell Pozitive opening Phil Trumble with Russell Mutual respect the name of the game for Mutoh's Russell Cavenagh (L) with Pozitive MD Phil TrumbleCavenagh, alongside demonstrations of Mutoh’s Flatbed and Roll-to-Roll XpertJet UV LED Printers. We started off just selling their dye-sublimation gear but Mutoh quickly demonstrated to us that we are values-aligned in our approach. They give us all the product and tech support our team need in the field and maintain pricing at a level that means we have room to work with our clients."
