ROQ, distributed in ANZ by GJS, has  unveiled the ROQ PEEL, an innovative solution that fully automates the removal of direct-to-film (DTF) backing sheets in the heat-press decoration process. This enables up to 500 garments per hour to be decorated with the entirely automated ROQ IMPRESS system.

ROQ PEELThe new ROQ PEEL eliminates manual backing-removal in DTF heat transfer, closing the automation loop when used with ROQ IMPRESS

ROQ PEEL is a breakthrough technology that streamlines a previously manual process, significantly enhancing efficiency and productivity in decorated-apparel production using DTF heat transfer.

The DTF process has seen rapid adoption in the apparel industry, particularly for its versatility and high-quality results. However, even with the use of automated presses, operators have traditionally been required to manually place transfers and remove the backing medium after decoration. The introduction of ROQ PEEL eliminates this manual step, automating the peeling process and allowing operators to focus on loading and unloading T-shirts.

Automating the transfer process, closing the loop

Designed to operate seamlessly with the ROQ FEED automatic transfer placement machine and the ROQ IMPRESS multi-platen heat press, the ROQ PEEL transforms the heat-press workflow into a fully automated system. Operators simply thread blank T-shirts onto a platen and remove them once decoration is complete, with no need for manual peeling.

Key features of the ROQ PEEL include:

– Adjustable Speed and Stroke Length: Optimizes performance for varying heat-transfer sizes and production needs.

– Laser Marker for Precision: Ensures precise alignment for picking up and removing backing sheets.

– High Production Capacity: In combination with the ROQ IMPRESS, the system can process up to 500 garments per hour, making it ideal for high-volume production environments.

According to ROQ, a Portugal-based company: “Once synchronized with the ROQ IMPRESS and ROQ FEED, you just need to load the T-shirts and reach production speeds of up to 500 pieces per hour, with guaranteed precision and consistent results.”

Greater competitiveness by automating - now even backing paper removal is automated

The ROQ PEEL is designed to automate the final step in the DTF process, helping garment decorators reduce labor costs and increase competitiveness. By removing the need for manual peeling, businesses can achieve faster production cycles while maintaining consistent quality.
