Women in Print is excited to announce that it has opened applications for Patron roles in New South Wales and Queensland, giving the industry’s women in those states a rare opportunity to contribute on the Board of the organisation.

WIP logoThe opportunities come about following the departure of Patrons Debbie Burgess (NSW & ACT) and Morag Pugh (QLD), two long-time Women in Print champions who have been instrumental in supporting the community and driving positive change for women in the printing and broader visual media industry.

“Being a Women in Print Patron is without a doubt one of the most fulfilling roles within our organisation,” says Stephanie Gaddin, Chair of the Women in Print Board.

“Patron roles are a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact, lead with purpose, and help shape the future of the industry. It’s an opportunity to give back, to connect deeply with our community at a State and National level, and to foster meaningful change.

“We are looking for passionate individuals who are ready to champion the next wave of women in print, packaging, signage and the broader visual media industry.

“In particular, I am specifically calling on women business owners and leaders who work in the signage, display and graphics sector, to consider the opportunity to bring their perspective and a fresh view to the work done by our team,” she adds.

The privilege of patronship

The retiring Patrons have nothing but positive things to say about their term.

"It’s been an absolute privilege to serve as Patron and contribute to a cause I deeply believe in,” says Debbie Burgess, Co-Managing Director of Bright Print Group and outgoing NSW Patron.

“Women in Print has given me not only a platform to support others but has also helped me build a strong network of inspiring women.”

Applications are welcome from those ready to take on this exciting position, with interested parties encouraged to apply online via this dedicated link. If you wish to find out more about the role, you can have a confidential discussion with Gaddin, or the Patrons, by emailing hello@womeninprint.com.au with a request to connect.

Applications are open now and will close on 31st October 2024. Further information and the application form can be downloaded at https://womeninprint.com.au/patron-application/
