Motorsport is one of the best exponents of the art of vehicle wrapping and Orafol Australia is proud to have recently showcased some of its premium performance products in this high-octane environment. It’s all thanks to a long-standing relationship with Brisbane's SS Signs, says Orafol.

SS Signs is a leading provider of signage and vehicle wraps across Brisbane and beyond and have come to trust Orafol for the SSsigns EREBUSPERTH4Kostecki was the 2023 Supercars champion, hence the #1quality products that make it possible for them to go above and beyond for their customers. This is a relationship that has been cultivated over years of reliable advice and consistently excellent service from Orafol's specialists.

When SS Signs had the opportunity to wrap the new Chevrolet Camaro Supercars for Erebus Motorsport, they were quick to bring Orafol into the action.

Starting on on the Grid

Recognising the visual effect that the Erebus race team wanted to achieve, Orafol also appreciated the opportunity for greater visibility of its brand in partnership with SS Signs.

Forging a collaborative sponsorship between Orafol and SS Signs, Erebus Motorsport's two new-look Camaros were to be unveiled for the May 2024 Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint. With the creative design and car wrapping expertise of SS Signs, and the exceptional quality of the Orafol wrapping films,  a creative and dynamic collaboration emerged that promised great things for all parties involved.

Performing on Race Day

SSsigns EREBUSPERTH Erebus wanted to give a nod to the liveries of some of their past racing cars, while also doing something new and fresh. In particular, they wanted to feature a prominent #1 down the sides of driver Brodie Kostecki’s car as the reigning champion. This car would also carry Erebus Motorsport's own branding, while the second car would feature sponsor BIC signage. The car numbers and SS Signs' branding were applied to the bonnets, while Orafol branding was emblazoned on the rear quarter of both Supercars.

The materials for this project were selected for their performance and durability. ORAJET 3951RA+ ProSlide was used extensively on both cars, offering quick application and easy repositionability, as well as extreme durability. ORACAL 970RA multi-layered PVC film with excellent gloss retention, was also used for certain spot colours. The high-performance ORAGUARD 290 laminating film was applied to provide the highest level of UV protection and guard against colour fading. As a finishing touch on Kostecki’s car, the KPMF Matte Iced Titanium Blue was used to great effect for some electrifying highlights.
