HP is showing its latest wide format innovations at Visual Imact, Brisbane. As a high-profile supplier in the Australian print space, HP is demonstrating how large format printers can be used to produce quality images on a variety of materials, create smarter workflows, and accelerate sustainable design practices.

Since the introduction of the HP Latex  Gen 1 water-based durable inks, the technology has evolved significantly to the HP Latex Gen 4 with  reclaimed water and recycled plastics, solidifying HP’s commitment to sustainability while continuously  delivering on printing quality. The introduction of solutions & services like the HP Professional Print Service  Plans also signaled HP’s commitment to support business growth and efficiencies amongst their large  format customers.

At Visual Impact Brisbane 2024, HP is showcasing the HP Latex 630W for the first time on its own stand, along with new software and solutions introduced at drupa 2024, including: 

  • Live Production Printer Remote Control: The expansion of HP’s Live Production software is a groundbreaking solution that empowers small to medium-sized print service providers (PSPs) to remotely manage their end-to-end workflow, from any PC or mobile device. Enabling unattended  printing -for example, overnight, this pioneering software allows users to control devices remotely,  streamline production, and achieve greater efficiency. 
  • Design & eCommerce software: HP Large Format is offering PSPs the opportunity to simplify the end user demand with upgrades to the award-winning Design & eCommerce software, as awarded in European Digital Press (EDP) Best Web-to-Print Solution category at drupa 2024. This allows the generating of print ready PDF files that are optimised for most common Large Format applications,  such as canvas or wall covering. HP says the new functionalities also expand the compatibility to a broader range of web sites and supporting on demand quotation sales process, enabling PSPs to reach new  online customers.

During Visual Impact Brisbane 2024, Jeremy Brew, Sales Enablement Strategist, HP Large Format Printing,  will be hosting education sessions on printer décor and white ink. HP is predicting growth for PSPs using  ‘décor’ printing and the utilisation of white ink. With these trends on the rise, HP large format printers allow  decorative print to bring out colour, design, and brand identity to show extensive in-depth personalisation.  This also provides printing businesses a roadmap to not only thrive in this space but generate higher  revenue, widen their customer base and improve business vision.
