Mutoh Australia will amplify its presence at Visual Impact, Brisbane from 17th to 19th July, with prominent demonstrations of the XpertJet 1462UF direct-to-object printer - winner of the EDP Award for 'Best Object Printer' announced during last month's drupa expo and also the 2024 BLI (Buyer's Lab) top pick in the 54"/64" high-production category CMYK, covering Eco-Solvent and Latex/Resin:- the XpertJet 1682SR Pro roll printer.

Commenting on the Keypoint Intelligence BLI Award for the XPJ 1682SR, David Sweetnam, Keypoint Intelligence’s Director of EMEA/Asia Research & Lab Services said: “The Mutoh XpertJet 1682SR Pro delivered seriously good results in many areas of our rigorous test program. The dual CMYK printhead setup delivered the fastest speeds we ever saw in this class of product.”

The large working colour space aided impressive halftone image reproduction and accurate spot-colour-matching results, with 15 challenging corporate logos rendered with an average variance of only DeltaE 4.0.”

Wide format printing is no longer about just vinyls, papers, textiles and boards. It has proven such a winner, enabling all kinds of printing concerns to diversify into new higher-profit areas of object printing. The generous table size of the 1462 means that more items can be 'ganged up' in a jig or on the vacuum table, for full-colour branding and decoration."
The Mutoh XpertJet 1462UF is a 6-colour (C, M, Y, K, Wh + Va) UV LED flatbed printer with a movable beam delivery system (gantry) and an impressive bed size of 1420 mm x 700 mm. It can print on objects up to 150 mm thick. The 1462UF has a robust chassis and a 4-zone magnetic vacuum bed that can support weights of up to 50 kg/m².
Visitors to Visual Impact, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, from 17th to 19th July can see both of these printers in action on stand E15 at the heart of the show.
