Presented by the Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA), the Sign Industry Education Round Table discussed the current education landscape as it relates to the sign industry and new initiatives to attract the next generation of sign industry professionals.

“If we just focus on year 12 students, it’s too late,” Watters told the panel.

Harrold said: “We don’t represent ourselves well enough to government and we don’t make enough noise. What Visual Connections and the ASGA are doing is that this year there was a program put together, we went to industry and asked for funding and a lot of the suppliers stood up and generously put money forward."

Nielsen spoke about ASGA's increased focus on career expos around the country.

ASGA and Visual Connections also supported the Try-A-Trade stand at Visual Impact.

“Great to see students so enthusiastically engaged in the Try-A-Trade,” ASGA said.
