The TeckStorm has recently arrived in Australia with four installations already confirmed.

During recent trade shows in the USA (ISA) and Europe (DRUPA) the Teckwin TeckStorm was on show and according to Adriano Gut from local distributor, Positive Camtec, the printer was highly regarded by industry pofessionals due to its build quality, print resolution and a print speed.

teckstorm_mg_4077_cmyk_final_low_res.gifThe TeckStorm is manufactured in Shanghai, by Shanghai Teckwin Development Co.  It is a true flatbed printer offering an 8 section vacuum bed enabling media stability, precise registration and edge to edge printing on all sides. The registration pins enable fast and accurate alignment of sheet material. Maximum print area is 2440mm x 1220mm allowing standard sheet sizes up to 50mm thick to be easily accommodated.

"The high‐resolution Xaar XJ760 6 Level Variable Dot print heads utilised by the TeckStorm produce astounding print quality ‐ even 4‐point type is clear and legible! The machine offers print resolutions up to 1440 dpi and sets the benchmark for grand format print quality," said Mr Gut. "Speeds of up to 24m2 / hour in high quality mode enable the TeckStorm to outperform the competition," he concluded.

The TeckStorm boasts two dedicated print heads for white ink. White can either be printed as an underlay, overlay or as a spot colour resulting in a broad variety of applications including printing onto transparent and dark materials such as glass, acrylic, backlit films and boards.

The UV Inks are automatically agitated to prevent settling or separating of the pigments and the white ink is constantly cycled through the supply system. The ink degassing system automatically removes micro air bubbles reducing nozzle outage and increasing drop placement accuracy.

The TeckStorm has two UV lamps on each side of the print head to facilitate bi‐directional printing. Utilising the power of
software and major advances in dot placement and overlay technology Teckwin have virtually eliminated “UV banding”.
The UV lamp shutter system reduces the amount of heat exposure resulting in the ability to print a wider variety of materials.

All Teckwin printers have passed CE certification proving that operator safety is of prime concern to Teckwin. The UV Lamps are covered by the Safety Hood, rather than being open and exposed as with other competing machines. Extraction fans and vents are fitted to remove ozone and can be easily connected to an external extraction unit.
