Signage production house Signs Unique Installations, trading as Unico Creative in Artarmon, Sydney, is being wound up and a liquidator has been appointed. This is sad news for a highly accomplished sign business.
With high profile clients including Coles, Optus and Fitness First, Unico offered project management and installation, large format printing, CNC routing, fabrication, LED with electrics, industrial spray finishes, welding and more.
In 2017, Signs Unique Installations was the first company to install a new Roland GR-640 cutter from Starleaton, and added an OKI ColorPainter and Rollover flatbed applicator. “The installation of the new Roland GR cutter so soon after its release is a statement of our intention to be right at the forefront of innovation and progress as we expand sign production capabilities to add to our installation services,” said Signs Unique managing director Andrew Brown.

“Our Sydney-based production facility offers state-of-the-art printing services, including large format, point of sale, display, signage, small format, dye sublimation and digital fabric printing, campaign kitting and fulfilment,” says the company website.
“Our Sydney and Melbourne production facilities are fully set up and geared towards servicing the FMCG, property, retail and multi-outlet markets. Large format and signage services include: latex flatbed technology printing (8 colours); roll to roll printing (6 colour); dye sublimation and digital fabric printing; environmentally friendly water-based inks; sustainably efficient substrates."

An ASIC notice published on Tuesday said a company meeting on 31 August 2021 resolved that the business would be wound up. Trent Devine of Jirsch Sutherland was appointed liquidator.
