INKdustrial, a recent start-up by two very experienced former Mimaki* staffers John Bryson and David Edwards, has announced the immediate availability of the Indian-made Jetsci range of inkjet label printers in Australia, enabling existing and prospective label printers to enter digital UV Inkjet label printing, at an economical entry price without compromising quality.

Jetsci is part of the Monotech Systems Group, established for over 20 years in India and a very experienced print and packaging organisation, whose CEO Tej Parkash Jain was previously with Monotype for many years. Sales revenues are reportedly around AUD$100 million.

INKdustrial Sales Director John Bryson told Wideformat Online: "We have set out to try and specialise in supporting the industrial printing industry. Labels, direct-to-items such as the promo market, and we have a range of direct-to-bottle printing machines. We also have UV coding and marking solutions and are adding some very special inkjet inks, including a range of extended outdoor durable inks with warranties up to 10 years. Along with all this we are growing the application of robotics and automation in printing."

He adds: "The Jetsci range represents performance at an entry-level price, with the ability to be field upgraded when the time is right.”

The Jetsci Kolorsmart+ entry-level printer

The Jetsci range of inkjet printers include the Kolorsmart+ and the ColorNovo Hybrid+, both exceptional quality at more affordable pricing. The Kolorsmart+ is the entry level UV printer starting with 4 colour and a 216mm print width and production speeds up to 50m/minute.

One of the highlights of the range is the ability to be upgraded to add in optional White and Orange inks to increase the colour gamut, and print on clear substrates. Standard features include webguide, corona unit, web cleaner and an inline flexo station prior to the inkjet unit to allow for priming, coating or flood white printing. The ColorNovo Hybrid+ has all the features of the Kolorsmart+ but includes full inline finishing solutions.

According to Bryson, bringing the Jetsci range of inkjet label printers into Australia is in response to interest in the market for an entry level solution that has a good return on investment while keeping the initial investment as low as possible. INKdustrial’s commitment is part of the new offering and is backed locally by a team of technicians and supported by the factory.
