Prima Printing has bought a Kornit Atlas digital textile printer for industrial-scale, direct-to-garment (DTG) production at its plant in Noble Park North in Melbourne’s south-east. Prima is the largest manufacturer of personalised consumer products in the Aust/NZ region.

“Additionally, the business will realize end-to-end process efficiency, visibility, and control benefits by implementing the Custom Gateway workflow software solution,” said Kornit Digital (Nasdaq: KRNT), a market leader in digital textile printing technology, in an announcement.

Servicing Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan, Prima Printing - part of the District Photo Company which includes Harrier in the UK and Czech Republic and District Photo in the US - manufactures more than 450 different products encompassing dye sublimation, wall art, home décor, photobooks, cards, calendars, and photographs. “The business fulfils global brands’ production needs via their white label service offering, with an aggressive strategy of adopting innovative technologies, automating key operations, and leveraging data to optimise labour, inventory, systems, tasks, and departments, from order to shipment,” Kornit said.
