Total Image Supplies will present working demos of these four award-winning Mutoh printers

Victorian businesses have been hard hit by the latest lockdown, but Total Image Supplies is determined to climb right back in the saddle this Thursday and Friday, with its Mutoh Demo Days. Four Mutoh printer will be available for close inspection and demonstration.

The fast-growing industry supplier Total Image Supplies will host the Open days and feature four Mutoh printers and one cutting plotter.

The Mutoh ValueJet 1638UH hybrid roll/sheet (up to 15mm thick) printer will be running live, using LED-UV curing inks, printing up to 64 inches (1625mm) at speeds of up to 22.7 sqm/hr. Two types of ink can be deployed - a hard ink for rolls andMutoh 1638uh 01 sheets and a softer ink for 'stretchy' applications or where creasing is called for. Head configuration can be either dual CMYK or CMYK + White and clear Varnish. With Mutoh's renowed robust build and superb image quality, this model is already the proven workhorse of many sign businesses around Australia and New Zealand. One attraction is its excellent adhesion to media such as Corflute and Acrylics, without the use of primers and with scratch-resistant results rarely needing coating or laminating.

Also being demonstrated is the non-hybrid Mutoh 1638UR, a 64 inch (1625mm) roll printer, also using LED-UV curing soft inks that can be supplied either as CMYK or CMYK+White and Varnish, 4-6 colours. Like all Mutoh UV inks, they emit 0% VOCs and prints emerge dry and ready for finishing, with no out-gassing time necessary.

Also on working demonstration is the new XpertJet 1638SR, an eco-solvent printer with staggered dual-head design that provides ultra-fast print speeds, up to 87 sqm/hr in dual CMYK configuration. It’s capable of producing smooth gradations while delivering high-quality printing, even with reduced resolution, thanks to the 7-color ink configuration (CMYK Lc Lm Lk). The XPJ1682SR is paired with Mutoh’s wide-gamut GREENGUARD Gold certified, MS41 Eco-Solvent ink for installations in all safe environments.

The Mutoh XpertJet 661UF completes the line-up. It is a benchtop of floorstand UV powerhouse that can print on almost anything,  objects and signage up to 483mm x 594mm. With added varnish, it can even printed raised effects and Braille.

Finishing has not been overlooked, with a Mutoh ValueCut II working during the Open Days. Sturdy and dependable, ValueCut II line comes in cutting widths of 24 inches (610mm), 52 inches (1320mm) and 72 inches (1830mm). Media widths are generously oversize from the cutting widths. These are ideal for contour cutting of stickers, short run labels, prototyping and oversize self-adhesive labels and are supplied with SAi's Flexi Starter software.

Softwares used during the Open Days include SAi FlexiSign and the Onyx Rip series.
