Mutoh's Blizzard has won first place in the prestigeus EDPA European awards and also sets a blistering pace for speed for a mild or eco solvent printer in the 1640mm and 2230mm print width range.

blizzard.gifThe EDPA stands for European Digital Press Association, they present awards to the most outstanding technology each year. The Mutoh Blizzard won the award for it's print engine engineering which has enabled it to achieve a speed of 40 sq metres per hour at the 360 x 360 dpi range.

The EDPA state in their award that the Blizzard can be setup with mild-solvent or with eco-solvent ultra ink. It includes the firm’s patented i2 intelligent interweaving technology. This results in a drastic reduction or even total elimination of defects such as horizontal banding, step mismatch banding, ink mottle, bleed and the visible effects of missing or misfiring nozzles.

The Mutoh Blizzard is the first Mutoh Europe printer offering full integration of the intelligent interweaving technology starting from the design phase of the product.
