Kornit Digital, well known in the world of garment decorating, has announced a partnership with Jettable, a pioneer in pigmented ceramic inks and inkjet systems for tile decoration.

After two years of development, Kornit and Jettable now present the Pink digital printer - the first commercially available system for on-demand full colour decoration of ceramic tiles and surfaces.

The Pink, based on an industry leading inkjet platform by Kornit and wide colour gamut ceramic inks from Jettable, is the first practical and commercial solution for small production runs of on-demand ceramic tile and tableware decoration.

The machine is based on the Kornit platform industrial design with its operator friendly interface and can be supplied with RIP and colour management tools for an efficient workflow. With a capacity of up to 1,000 20cm x 20cm tiles per shift, Pink offers a variety of custom-made ceramic digital applications for home, office and business.

"Jettable is impressed with Kornit’s proprietary technology and passion to explore other markets" says Warren Green, CEO of Jettable. "With the ceramic application being supported by Sicer srl., Jettable inks and colour management show the widest gamut in the ceramic industry and complete compatibility with existing ceramic manufacturing processes". Green adds: "We are thrilled about this opportunity to join hands with Kornit and bring their outstanding innovations to the ceramic decorating industry".

The Pink system will be seen in operation at Drupa WORLD 2008 in Düsseldorf at Kornit's booth # B11, hall 8b, along with the company's revolutionary industry-leading technology solutions for garment decoration.
