Two weeks ago, we announced a great initiative by Mutoh Australia, to donate $500 to the Fred Hollows Foundation for every Braille-enabled UV printer sold between now and Christmas. Now, as World Sight Day approaches on October 8th, Corporate Match 2.0 will double that – another $500 to the Foundation.

The great Fred Hollow's legacy continues to restore sight for millions of people

Mutoh Australia Managing Director Russell Cavenagh says on his LinkedIn page: “If Covid-19 has taught us anything this Fred Hollows quote captures it perfectly: “I believe the basic attribute of mankind is to look after each other.”

"I have long admired the tireless and selfless work of the late Fred Hollows and the brilliant legacy he left, now perpetuated by the Fred Hollows Foundation. With eyesight restored to over 2.5M people worldwide ‘Hero’ is an overused word, but Fred would be my very definition of it. A donation of just $25 to the Fred Hollows Foundation will restore someone’s eyesight – imagine what 40 times that will do!”

He continues: “We work in an industry of visual effects so there is a great synergy between printing, seeing, and working with colour - and restoring sight, which the great Fred Hollows enabled for millions of people! To recognise World Sight Day on October 8th, and to help make a difference, Mutoh Australia will donate $500 from every sale of our new braille-enabled range of XpertJet 461 & 661UF UV printers sold from now until December 24th, to help draw attention to the Fred Hollows Foundation, and this will be matched by the philanthropic Corporate Match 2.0, making $1,000 per printer!"
