Leigh Hooper, national manager of Ball & Doggett’s fastest growing division Display & Visual, says the Covid-19 pandemic has underlined the importance of diversification, innovation and collaboration in the industry. Hooper and Benn Murphy, managing director of Clarke Murphy Print – responsible for the NRL’s successful Fan in the Stand program - are this week’s guests on Ball & Doggett’s YouTube series RESET that asks the question: “What does optimism look like to you for your business right now?”

“This pandemic has highlighted two key positive mindset shifts that will have a lasting effect on our industry,” Hooper says. “Firstly, the need for greater diversification and being able to pivot quickly to implement new and innovative strategies in to your business. And secondly, the importance of strong collaboration and transparency, whether this be inside your business with co-workers, with customers, or with your suppliers. Our industry is blessed to have so many talented and experienced individuals, and we need to leverage these relationships.”

Ball & Doggett says: Creativity is thinking up new things. Innovation is doing new things.“ A quote by Theodore Levitt (1925 – 2006), a renowned economist said it best when speaking on innovation. We speak with Clarke Murphy Print and our own Leigh Hooper on their journey of creating solutions for consumers using ‘static media in a digital world’. Benn and Leigh share with us how supporting the market and collaborating is key to their success..

The webinar is hosted by B&D's business development manager Zaidee Jackson.
