Aaron Baker, managing director of Perth print and signage business Bomb Visual, says he knew he needed help when a recent colour problem began wasting an increasing amount of ink and vinyl.

“Our Roland SP-540v printer was producing green greys and it was an ongoing issue any time we engaged a new client with greys in their requirements,” Baker told WFOL. “We were wasting a great deal of ink, vinyl, and time trying to adjust RIP colour values to get better results. Even after this process, we still were not getting the desired results and it was somewhat depressing because we take our reputation and the quality of our products and services seriously.”

Bomb Visual, a 15-year-old printing, signage, promotional and web design business, based in suburban Cockburn Central and serving the Perth metropolitan area and WA regional centres, turned to colour expert David Crowther of Colour Graphic Services for assistance.

“Dave created a new colour profile for us and was very helpful in explaining the colour profiling process along the way,” says Baker. “We are now producing greys without any issues at all. I am confident in producing any artwork that comes our way and have no regrets whatsoever.

“It was, by far, one of the best investments I have made since inception of the company. 2019 has been a great year for our small company. We have grown year on year for five years and are now most definitely looking forward to some time off over the Christmas period.

“I would just like to thank Dave for his professionalism and experience. He has saved me at least a collective fortnight of late nights trying to resolve colour issues on tight deadlines. It was the best $700 I have spent and I wish I had done it sooner."
