“The wide-format market is growing and changing at an incredible rate, and print providers are looking to deliver eye-catching, outside-the-box applications to take advantage of the momentum,” says Ricoh’s Heather Poulin. The inaugural Wide-format Summit – produced by Wide-format Impressions Magazine, NAPCO Media and SGIA - will take place April 20-22, 2020 in Austin, Texas, co-located with the eighth annual Inkjet Summit.

The new event is designed for senior managers and executives in wide-format inkjet printing businesses to better understand how current and future digital printing technology, substrate options, finishing technology and data management solutions will impact their businesses and investment decisions.

The Summit will provide strategic-level insights into what printing industry leaders must do to grow, improve and optimize their businesses. It’s designed for printers from commercial, in-plant and graphics environments within three primary segments:

Soft Signage for Graphic Applications (Textile): Exhibit displays, retail displays, etc.

Production Display Graphics (Roll-to-Roll): Vehicle/fleet wraps, floor graphics, window graphics, wallcoverings, banners, etc.

Production Display Graphics (Flatbed): Rigid signage, POP displays, exotic materials, etc.

Canon Solutions America and HP are Keynote Sponsors, while Ricoh is a Gold Sponsor.

“The hosted-buyer summits from NAPCO Media are much more than a typical conference or trade show event,” says HP’s Steve Powers. It’s where prospective buyers have a chance to interact, one-on-one, with executives at HP Inc. This summit will bring the entire ecosystem together for several intensely focused days filled with case studies, end user panels, networking, meeting zones and keynote sessions.”

"Wide format market is growing and
  changing": Heather Poulin, Ricoh

Heather Poulin, Sr. director, Marketing, Commercial Printing Business, Ricoh, says: “The wide-format market is growing and changing at an incredible rate, and print providers are looking to deliver eye-catching, outside-the-box applications to take advantage of the momentum. At Ricoh, innovation is in our DNA and our passion for print encourages us to get behind the trends and happenings that will make our industry stronger. This is why we invested in the Inkjet Summit at such an early stage, and why we’re taking the same approach with the inaugural Wide-format Summit. We know the impact that peer-to-peer networking and alliance building can bring print providers and there’s no better venue to achieve this than what the NAPCO team has built with the Summit approach.”

Sal Sheikh, VP Marketing, Large Format Solutions, Canon Solutions America, adds: “This is an opportunity for us to meet with qualified prospects and other industry leaders to learn more about their current business needs and to work together to advance the industry. The format enables us to be a part of the content and learning experience by presenting focused customer case studies and meeting one-to-one with executives tasked with researching and making major technology investment decisions as well as strategic business decisions.”

Steve Duccilli, executive vice president of Wide-Format and Industrial Printing at NAPCO Media and Dan Marx, director of Content Development at SGIA, along with a team of key advisory board members and speakers, will lead the conference program. The agenda caters to senior-level decision makers tasked with researching and understanding digital solutions and determining if the business case to invest or expand makes sense for their respective organization.
