Local company, Sign Software have developed Fiasco, a sign business management piece of software and are inviting local sign companies to download a trial version and give a try.

"Production Management is one of the strong points of the software. Each Jobcard consists of further Jobcard Items, which go through each one of your business's customised Production Departments. You can then leave specific notes in each Jobcard Item for each Production Department. Your staff then have instant access to all this information in a structured, organised way. Because each Jobcard Item naturally flows from department to department, no production steps are skipped, each department sees notes from all the other departments, fewer mistakes are made, and production flows much smoother.

"Estimating and quoting has always been a problem for sign companies, with so many different methodologies and pricing principles, and all of it subject to the market your company is in. Fiasco allows you to generate accurate estimates based on the materials and labour used to manufacture the products. By maintaining a product catalogue, you create "packages" of products which dynamically calculate the price based upon the width, height, and quantity that you set. But, Fiasco also offers 2 different kinds of estimators: a digital printing estimator, and a ready-to-apply vinyl decal estimator. With the right settings, your quotes and estimates can be done much, much faster and it's accurate enough for staff to use it too.

"What's quite unique about Fiasco is that if something's not quite right, we can try to customise it for you to give it the behaviour and tools you'd like. One customer wanted to hide prices from certain Staff members and on Jobcards - so we added those settings. Another customer wanted to allocate Jobcard Items to specific people in each department - so now that's possible.
