“Despite decreasing print run lengths, print businesses can increase their profits with digital embellishments, which add value to their print,” says LIA NSW. “Digital embellishment does not require the same skill level and knowledge of hot foil stamping, substrates and specialized processes.

“There are many digital embellishments available: traditional high gloss UV varnish, spot matt and gloss varnishes; sensory raised and textured spot varnishes; metal foiling and die-less foil applications; printing on to laminates, then embellishing.

“The presenters for the evening will represent the Currie Group, Konica Minolta and Océ, all of which offer a wide variety of digital embellishment. This will be a great opportunity to watch, listen and learn and open our minds to possibilities within our own businesses.”
