Kiian Digital chooses Fespa 2015 to launch new Digistar range of water based inks and confirms Platinum Sponsorship
Kiian Digital has announced it will use Fespa 2015 in Cologne as the platform for the international unveiling of its new Digistar range of water based inks for the soft signage and textile printing industry.
The company, which will present its new range on Stand K5 Hall7, has also confirmed that it has become a Platinum Partner Sponsor for Fespa 2015, elevating its brand to the top flight of this year’s exhibitors.

The new Digistar range includes:
The Digistar WR-500 is a water-based multi-purpose sublimation transfer ink which is compatible with RICOH GEN 5 printhead. Ideal for large format printers, it can be printed onto a wide range of substrates across the sports apparel, fashion and interior décor sectors, providing maximum versatility. The Digistar WR-500 offers high chromatic performance and colour concentration, good general fastness and excellent release (transfer) capacity, with no risk labelling required.
Digistar AIR is also a sublimation transfer ink, compatible with RICOH printheads. Developed for printing onto light and/or low coated papers, this new transfer ink has excellent quick drying features, high colour concentration and doesn’t require risk labelling.
Kiian’s Digistar TUNE sublimation ink has been developed for direct printing. Again, compatible with RICOH printheads, Digistar TUNE offers the perfect balance between brightness and general fastness, providing high chromatic performance and productivity, with no risk labelling required.
Digistar TEX-R is Kiian’s new water based pigment inks for direct printing. Compatible with RICOH printheads, Digistar TEX-R is extremely versatile and suitable for use with a wide range of fabrics. The eco-friendly choice, Digistar TEX-R is a low-environmental-impact ink set with reduced water consumption and a shorter and more cost-effective printing process, they are optimising the production cycle. No risk labelling is required for this ink set.
Finally, Kiian will also be unveiling an exciting new selection of fluorescent colours for its most popular Digistar ink ranges – the HD-ONE, HI-PRO and K-ONE series. Fluorescent colours are currently a major trend in sport uniforms, clothing and home interior décor. The introduction of new Yellow, Pink, Green and Blue fluorescent inks to this popular series will be a welcome addition, enabling many end users to further differentiate themselves in the marketplace.
A selection of applications showing all inks will be displayed across the stand – from fashion, sports apparel and accessories through to soft signage and banners - all demonstrating the extent of the ink set’s suitability for the widest range of products. Kiian Digital representatives will be on hand throughout the show to explain to visitors the benefits and characteristics of the new ink sets. The new Digistar ink range is compatible with most major wide format printer brands in the industry.
