GJS has announced the addition of 3D sublimation presses to its already extensive range of dye sublimation solutions. Available in two models, the presses allow for all over substrate coverage, a variety of new applications and productivity benefits.

“Until now dye sublimation has essentially been limited to flat substrates, unless you had a specialised heat press,” said Greg Stone, Managing Director, GJS. “With 3D vacuum technology you can now create total coverage sublimation transfers and increase productivity and produce multiple items at one time.

“Our customers have already enjoyed huge success with customisable smartphone and tablet covers so the ability to now create all over prints for these devices will again be a market differentiator that will be able to drive additional profits for their businesses,” Stone concluded.
Two new 3D sublimation presses are available now:
GJS 3D Desktop Vacuum Press
The GJS 3D Desktop Vacuum Press is an easy first step into 3D personalisation. It provides the platform to produce smartphone and tablet covers with the image wrapping around the edges, total coverage ceramic plates, curved glass pieces and there are more new products on their way.
GJS 3D Sublimation PRO Vacuum Press
The GJS 3D PRO Vacuum Press is designed for mass production and is suited to high volume production runs. The extra-large (450 x 500mm) platen allows for more products to be transferred at the same time, increasing productivity.
In addition to the two 3D sublimation presses, available immediately is a range of 3D printable blanks including smartphone covers and iPad cases.
