The UK's Octi-Tech, Ltd., has announced completion of an exclusive development for 3D product decoration technologies with CR Clarke & Company, Ltd.
CR Clarke & Co. manufactured similar equipment for Akzo Nobel who marketed it under the Pictaflex brand. Following Akzo Nobel’s recent decision to withdraw from the 3D product decoration market, CR Clarke and Octi-Tech have concluded an agreement which accords Octi-Tech exclusive global rights to market these and future technologies developed by CR Clarke for 3D product decoration. Octi-Tech will market the line under its Sublideck 3DTM brand.
“This agreement encompasses what is currently the hottest decoration technology within sublimation personalisation market,” said Paul Hirst, Octi-Tech’s co-founder and director of business development. “The revolutionary three dimensional technique utilised by the Sublideck 3DTM system enables full wrap decoration on complex shapes for today’s leading smartphones and tech devices.”
The joint development agreement allows Octi-Tech to increase its range of 3D hardware from the world’s largest selling single print system to include three new high speed production presses that will accommodate multiple case prints, up to 30 per press cycle. In addition, Octi-Tech has developed exclusive product lines of high quality consumables to support manufacturers and distributors, including a range of high impact phone cases, specialty sublimation inks, and thermo-forming transfer film.
