Textiles Alive has won a Highly Commended award in New Zealand's 2009 Pride in Print Awards for a textile banner featuring a full colour koru.

The banner, produced for the Tuskany Agency, an advertising and creative company based in Tauranga, was developed to promote local retailer Bed Post. It entered in the digital printing, large format category.

Textiles Alive director John Heyworth says he is delighted with the highly commended award - the third award in as many entries that the company has won in the Pride in Print Awards.

"We're rapt to have won three from three. This is an important industry acknowledgement of our work and it means we are maintaining our high standard of product and quality over time," says Mr Heyworth.

"We have made a real commitment to delivering an outstanding product and service to our clients, and these awards reinforce that commitment.

"But just as importantly, this is a reflection of the high level of pride that our team takes in their work. This personal pride plays an important role in achieving our high quality results and it's great they have been recognised for their efforts."

Mr Heyworth says the team is already looking forward to the 2010 awards.

Textiles Alive is a family business in Mt Maunganui. It is a wholesale business, mainly supplying the design and signage industries, and producing everything from flags and banners, to marquee covers and tailor made internal fabric displays.
