Since arriving in this fantastic country some 6 years ago, Australia has offered me, both personally and business wise, a number of opportunities. In 2014, I took on the responsibility of driving Agfa Inkjet Oceania, working with a talented team of Sales and Service Engineers.
Our targets are simple. Grow our market share by offering a complete working solution, which is now coming to fruition.
I hope any existing or future client that is considering their next inkjet hardware purchase consider Agfa technology.

I am currently employed as NSW State Sales Manager at Australian Sheet Traders which allows me to continue my involvement in the supply of plastic sheet rigid and flexible substrates to the digital, screen printing and display markets. I have over 35 years experience in the plastics industry from manufacturing to distribution. As printing technology has advanced this has placed a requirement to supply products that are improved quality and to provide technical support to the industry. Therefore there is a balance of understanding the industry need for product, quality and technical support at a consistent service standard. The networking in the industry has allowed me to develop great and long term relationships. The main changes I have encountered is the improved working relationships with flat bed printer suppliers in providing the industry products that have been tested and proven for use in signage and display. I have seen many changes in business structures as technology has rapidly changed the way businesses operate. This has created a sense of adaptability and service that as suppliers’ we must provide and be competitive.

Stickland, Brian

Brian Stickland

Wide Format Online magazine  PO Box 793 Aspley, QLD 4034
www.wideformatonline.com  Tel: 07 3863 2822 Fax: 3863 2883

I started my publishing career in 1970 with Thomson Publications in Johannesburg and moved on seven year later to join a small team in Johannesburg that were struggling to make Graphix magazine profitable.
Graphix magazine was the magazine serving the South African printing industry (still is but not a shadow of it's former self). It took three years to become the premier magazine serving that country's printing industry after winning several awards for publishing excellence. We launched many other associated titles and I sold the business in 1999.
I moved to Australia and joined Visual Impact in 2003 and within two years made that magazine the pre-eminent magazine serving the Australian and New Zealand sign industry. It is great to see the magazine still holding that position after I moved on. Congratulatons to Peter Harper and his team at VISA.
Moving on to 2006, Wide Format Online was born and 6 years later it is 'by far' the biggest read in the region for the wide format industry with approximately  30,000 readers every month. Thank you to all our readers and advertisers that have made that happen.
