Atelier Spektrum, the Category Winner in the popular Exterior category, also received the coveted Platinum Award. Michael Dobias, Marketing Manager of the Czech outdoor advertising specialist accepted the Platinum Winner’s trophy on behalf of his team from HP Graphic Arts Marketing Manager, François Martin.

Images of the eight winning projects can be seen on the dedicated FESPA Digital Print Awards 2008 stand at FESPA Digital 2008 in Geneva, adjacent to the HP stand. The winning entries were selected by an independent expert jury in February 2008, from over 300 entries submitted to the Awards web site at http://www.fespadpa.com/. All entries can still be viewed in the online Gallery on this site.

FESPA CEO Nigel Steffens comments: “The response from digital printers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa far outstripped our expectations for the Digital Print Awards competition in its second year.   For these winning companies, the selection of their projects from among so many first-class examples of digital print is a unique and highly prestigious accolade.  We hope they will look back in years to come and see their success in the FESPA Digital Print Awards 2008 as a significant milestone in the growth of their business.”

François Martin, HP Graphic Arts Marketing Manager adds: “The FESPA Digital Print Awards have shown for a second year running that digital printing technology is being deployed in a dazzling array of promotional, functional and decorative applications.  Digital print service providers are developing ever more creative solutions to their clients’ briefs, pushing their machines and substrates, as well as their own production and implementation skills, to the limit.  We look forward to working with FESPA to expand and evolve the competition further in 2009, embracing emerging applications and attracting even more examples of best practice from the international digital wide-format community.”

In addition to selecting the eight Category Winners and the Platinum Winner, the jury also singled out a number of entries for commendation in the individual categories, as follows:
