The Commonwealth Government funded Future Print program is committed to providing a pathway for the industry’s future leaders.

The recently completed Future Print apprenticeship training program has revitalised entry level training to assist businesses in the print and graphic communication sector to develop the skills and capabilities to enable them respond effectively to meet economic, demographic and technological change, says the project’s head, Bill Healey. “However, in an industry challenged by an ageing workforce, we need incentives for bright and capable young people to take on the challenge of leadership which is perhaps most exciting” he said.
Healey believes a more targeted approach is needed for young people who have completed their trade or are on the ‘first rung’ of the management ladder.
Future Print is therefore is teaming up with Leadership Management Australia to offer their  ‘Success Strategies for Team Leaders and Supervisors’ course. The first of these commenced in July and given the success of the initial program a second course has been organised to start on Tuesday 13 September.
Attached is course outline, schedule of proposed courses, and details costs which are based on the size of the business involved.
Healey says the full cost of the course is just over $3,000, of which 67% is subsidised by Government.
Success Strategies for Team Leaders and Supervisors will assist newer Team Leaders and Supervisors and those transitioning into their first leadership role to develop their leadership and communication skills. They will improve their ability to work with their team to achieve the team’s performance objectives and goals.
Upon successful completion of assessment activities participants will receive BSB30115 Certificate III in Business.
