The results of FESPA’s Wide Survey, its proprietary pan-European research into the digital wide-format printing marketplace, are now available.
Members of FESPA’ s national associations are entitled to receive a copy of the survey free of charge; non-member companies or industry suppliers can obtain the data via FESPA for a fee of €1500.

The survey, conducted by renowned graphic arts industry research and consulting firm InfoTrends, involved online interviews with some 400 contacts from FESPA’s visitor database, and set out to gain deeper insights into the interviewees’ key areas of business development; their principal commercial and technological concerns; their main growth applications; their intentions regarding investment in digital output and workflow technology; and their overall sense of optimism for the future of the industry and their business.

FESPA Corporate Communications Director, Marcus Timson explains the organisation’s motives for undertaking the research: “We believe strongly that having our own, robust data on the digital marketplace will help us better understand the commercial motivations and concerns of the FESPA community. This is vital if we are to deploy FESPA’s revenues to devise and deliver educational and knowledge-sharing initiatives that are genuinely beneficial to today’s printers, wherever they sit on the technology spectrum. The results make enlightening reading, and we are confident that all FESPA’s stakeholders will find the results invaluable in considering future plans for their business.”
