Effective Wednesday 8th August 2007, market leading distribution company Halifax Vogel Group has purchased the operations of Alucobond Architectural and Octanorm Australia.

According to Charles Friedler, managing director of HVG, “the merging of our operations and those of Alucobond and Octanorm is a natural fit. Our distribution reach, with warehouses in mainland capitals plus Auckland and Bangkok, combined with the market leading products from Alcan Composites and Octanorm Vertriebs that Alucobond and Octanorm distribute provides great synergies and opportunities for further growth.”

Bruce Rayment remains as CEO of both of the new Alucobond and Octanorm divisions of HVG, “There is not a more suitable company with which to merge our operations. This creates an even more powerful force in the building materials, graphics and exhibition markets. There are many new opportunities for providing better service and support to our customers than ever before.”

Founded in the early 1970s, Alucobond Architectural distributes market leading aluminium composite material and foam board brands manufactured by Alcan Composites such as Alucobond, Dibond, Forex and Kapa.
