Mutoh has launched the ValueJet 1628T (1.6m) and ValueJet 2628T (2.6m) aqueous printers, specifically designed for soft signage printing.

‘The ValueJet 1628T/2628T incorporate new technology that offers numerous business opportunities for soft signage printing that will target the creative digital textile market,’ said Jeff Springan, Product Engineer for Mutoh America.

The new models are designed for soft signage applications such as banners, flags, pennants, POP-displays and signage, posters, tradeshow graphics, museum fine art, wall murals, for both polyester fabrics and dye-sublimation paper.

They offer print resolutions of 360, 540 and 720dpi for different applications with draft quality speeds up to 41.5sqm/hr and speeds up to 14sqm/hr in production mode.

A new head is employed which Mutoh say is best suited for polyester fabrics using the On Demand Piezo Drive Method and encompasses the patented Intelligent Interweaving (I²) ‘wave’ Printing Technique that virtually eliminates banding.

The printers can be utilised with a variety of ink cartridges (CMYKLcLmOG) and are available in 4, 6 or 8 colours. Ink supply can be via 220ml cartridges or a bulk ink system.
