Sydney's Dashing Print invests in HP to grow large-format printing business
HP has announced the installation of a fleet of new HP printers at Sydney-based customer, Dashing Print, to meet a growing customer demand for high-volume large format printing.
Following the acquisition of On Demand Print and the expansion to a larger facility in Sydney, the investment will allow Dashing Print to expand its large-format services while consolidating its well-established small format business.
The multi-million dollar investment includes two new HP Indigo Digital Presses, two HP Latex 3000 Printers and an HP Scitex FB10000 Industrial Press.
Dashing Print started life as a small retail print shop over 30 years ago and has since expanded its services to not only offer large format printing, but also design, direct marketing, web-based hosting of digital assets, online ordering of personalised collateral, as well as mailing and fulfilment.
“Dashing Print seeks to provide the very best in campaign management for our clients. We wanted the best equipment to enable us to deliver this promise on a consistent basis, particularly given the increasing demand for large-format printing services,” said, Russell Kavnat, managing director, Dashing Print. “HP offers the full package in this regard, providing quality machinery and, most importantly, the ongoing training and support required to maximise its benefits.”
The addition of the new fleet of HP printers has boosted the company’s output by more than 300%, allowing it to take on a variety of large-format jobs that had previously been outsourced. This now includes retail point-of-sale items, such as posters and floor graphics, as well as exhibition and display items including pull-up banners and window displays.
“The team has been very impressed with the new printers so far. Print quality, speed and environmental impact are key considerations for our business, and these machines over-deliver in these areas,” said Kavnat.
The new presses have also allowed Dashing Print to work with more blue-chip retail clients, such as Specialty Fashion Group, David Jones, Rebel Sport and R.M. Williams, producing simple brochures through to complex campaign printing and variable data projects.
“It’s very exciting to work with such a successful printer like Dashing Print for the first time,” said Steve Donegal, country manager, Indigo and Inkjet Digital Press Solutions, Graphics Solutions Business, HP South Pacific. “We’re proud to be able to support the company’s growth in the large-format market by providing the best possible equipment for the job.”
